About Us

Olive Sickle Cell Initiative (OSCI) is a nonprofit founded in 2016 and registered with the CAC in 2021. We reduce the burden of sickle cell disorder through education, advocacy, screening, psychosocial support, and community engagement.

Our volunteers are not just helpers — many have a “sickle cell story”: they are warriors, parents, siblings, or friends. This lived experience gives our work compassion and credibility.

Mission: To reduce the burden of sickle cell disorder in Nigeria through education, awareness, advocacy, screening, psychosocial support, community engagement, and empowerment.

Vision: A Nigeria where every young person understands their genotype, every affected family receives support, and every warrior lives with dignity and hope.
